As we gather together, let us focus our attention upon God our Father and his Son, Jesus Christ. Through the power of the Holy Spirit we declare with all of creation: “Worthy are You, our Lord and our God, to receive glory and honor and power; for You created all things, and because of Your will they existed, and were created.” (Revelation 4:11) Let us pray:

Our God will supply all our needs according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus, and we know if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us.

So as we gather, let’s praise Jehovah Jireh – our God who provides.

The Christian life is not a bed of roses, and it never has been. Jesus made it clear that persecution should be expected – that because people hated Jesus, they would hate his followers.

You will be hated by all nations because of my name, he said. Matthew 24:9

Sometimes, too often in fact, our hearts get “out of tune.” But as Christians, our “pitch center” is Jesus Christ, and in worship we align our hearts with his. And overtones become possible, harmony happens, and joy results. All is well.
