We worship the God who was
We worship the God who is
We worship the God who evermore will be
He opened the prison doors
He parted the raging sea
Our God He holds the victory
There’s joy in the house of the Lord
There’s joy in the house of the Lord today
And we won’t be quiet
We shout out Your praise
There’s joy in the house of the Lord
Our God is surely in this place
And we won’t be quiet
We shout out Your praise
We sing to the God who heals
We sing to the God who saves
We sing to the God who always makes a way
He hung upon that cross
Then He rose up from that grave
My God’s still rolling stones away
We were the beggars
Now we’re royalty
We were the prisoners
Now we’re running free
We are forgiven, accepted
Redeemed by His grace
Let the house of the Lord sing praise
Call to Worship
We worship the God who was; we worship the God who is; we worship the God who evermore will be. The fact that God is self-existent—that he was created by nothing and has always existed forever—is perhaps one of the hardest attributes of God for us to understand. The Apostle Paul tells us that “he is before all things, and in him all things hold together” (Colossians 1:17). In our limitedness, grasping the nature of our limitless God is like holding onto water as it rages down a river. A.W. Tozer writes shares his thoughts about the head-spinning attribute of God’s infinity:
‘To admit that there is One who lies beyond us, who exists outside of all our categories, who will not be dismissed with a name, who will not appear before the bar of our reason, nor submit to our curious inquiries: this requires a great deal of humility, more than most of us possess, so we save face by thinking God down to our level, or at least down to where we can manage Him.”
Today, let’s think bigger about God. And let’s be grateful that our God is bigger than our understanding: for a God who is small enough to understand is not big enough to worship.

I believe You gave sight to the blind
I believe that the dead came to life
I believe there were wonders and signs
And You’re still the same
I believe every word that You said
I believe there are scars in Your hands
That Your goodness is good without end
And You’ll never change
I will tell of Your wonders
Sing of Your grace
The God of creation knows me by name
The Lord is faithful yesterday, now, and always
Always
Your mercy is mighty
Age after age
All generations will bow down and praise
The Lord is faithful yesterday, now, and always
Always
I believe You will come in the clouds
I believe You are here even now
In Your presence I know there is power
Power to save
You were, You are, You always will be God
You were, You are, You always will be God
Yes, You always will be God
Psalm 147:1–5

The Mystery of Faith
And so, in remembrance of these your mighty acts in Jesus Christ, we offer ourselves in praise and thanksgiving as a holy and living sacrifice, in union with Christ's offering for us, as we proclaim the mystery of faith.
Christ has died; Christ is risen; Christ will come again!

Infinite, self existent
Beyond the end, before beginning
Eternal One, Creator God
You made the world and it was good
All in all, self sufficient
So high above, but never distant
Made for Your love, fashioned from dust
You gave us breath and it was good
All glory and honor, blessing and power, because Your name alone is
Worthy, worthy forever, the praise is Yours
We hid our face, separated
Betrayed Your heart, our glory faded
Went our own way, gave up on love
But You would not, for You are good
You sent Your Son, for our forgiveness
You ran to us, You kept Your promise
Light of the World, there on a cross
You drank the cup, for You are good
Ohoh ohoh, ohoh ohoh
Glory to God, for You are good
Ohoh ohoh, ohoh ohoh
Glory to God, for You are good
Benediction
As we go from this place, may the God who always has been, continues to be, and always will be, be with you this week; guiding you and encouraging you to serve him faithfully each and every day. God bless you as you go.
