Today is the fourth Sunday of Advent. It is a day for us to open our hands, and our hearts, and accept the peace that God offers us. Yes, that is what he does for us, he offers peace. I know sometimes it doesn’t feel like we have peace. Maybe you feel like your world is spinning out of control, or maybe, because of your circumstances, you feel as though God is far away. But God is drawing near during this season of Advent and as we await his coming, he offers us peace. No matter what the circumstances; no matter what we're going through; this is a time when we are encouraged to pause, take a breath, and remember that Christ himself is our peace.
During this season of Advent we remember that Christ is coming. Christ, the Prince of Peace has already come. Christ the King has promised to come again. Let us still our hearts and know that he is with us.
Today's Scripture - Ephesians 2:14 & Luke 2:14
"For he himself is our peace, who has made us both one and has broken down in his flesh the dividing wall of hostility"
“Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace among those with whom he is pleased!”
