O Come Emmanuel (w/ portions of Is 52, Ps 146, & Is 9) Download

Instrument plays through one verse, no refrain, as introduction. No underscore for readings.

Voice 1:
How beautiful upon the mountains are the feet of him who brings good news, who publishes peace, who brings good news of happiness, who publishes salvation, who says to Zion, “Your God reigns.”

Voice 2:
The voice of your watchmen—they lif up their voice; together they sing for joy; for eye to eye they see the return of the Lord to Zion. Break forth together into singing, you waste places of Jerusalem, for the Lord has comforted his people; he has redeemed Jerusalem.

Voice 3:
The Lord has bared his holy arm before the eyes of all the nations, and all the ends of the earth shall see the salvation of our God.

All Sing:
O come, O come, Emmanuel, and ransom captive Israel, That mourns in lonely exile here, until the Son of God appears.

Voice 1:
Blessed is he whose help is the God of Jacob, whose hope is in the Lord his God, who made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that is in them, who keeps faith forever; who executes justice for the oppressed, who gives food to the hungry.

Voice 2:
The Lord sets the prisoners free; the Lord opens the eyes of the blind. The Lord lifs up those who are bowed down; the Lord loves the righteous. The Lord watches over the sojourners; he upholds the widow and the fatherless, but the way of the wicked he brings to ruin.

All Sing:
O come, Thou Dayspring, come and cheer our spirits by Thine advent here; disperse the gloomy clouds of night, and death’s dark shadows put to flight.

Voice 3:
Put not your trust in princes, in a son of man, in whom there is no salvation. When his breath departs, he returns to the earth; on that very day his plans perish.

Voice 2:
The Lord will reign forever, your God, O Zion, to all generations.

All Sing:
O come, O King of nations, bind, in one the hearts of all mankind. Bid all our sad divisions cease and be yourself our King of Peace.

Voice 2:
For to us a child is born, to us a son is given, and the government will be on his shoulders.

Voice 1:
And he will be called Wonderful Counselor,

Voice 3:
Mighty God,

Voice 2:
Everlasting Father,

Voices 1, 2 & 3 together:
Prince of Peace.

All Sing:
Rejoice! Rejoice! Emmanuel
shall come to Thee, O Israel!

Voice 1:
Praise the Lord!

Voice 2:
Praise the Lord, my soul!

Voice 3:
I will praise the Lord as long as I live;

Voice 1:
I will sing praises to my God while I have my being.

Voices 1, 2 & 3 together:
Praise the Lord!

All Sing:
Rejoice! Rejoice! Emmanuel
shall come to Thee, O Israel!
